I grew up on a family farm in Hopewell Township, New Jersey where hunting has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Memories as far back as my first deer, a huge mature doe to my first rabbit still play in my mind as clearly as the days they happened. To me, hunting is more than a hobby; it’s a passion, or dare I say an addiction. There’s no place I’d rather be on a cool Autumn day than sitting in a tree stand waiting for that trophy buck. In the spring I’ll spend most of my time trying to harvest a big ol’ gobbler with archery equipment. I am drawn to hunting because its a way to escape the day to day grind of work and every day obligations; it’s a way to leave behind stress and just enjoy the peace and quiet of the outdoors. I love the challenge of trying to match skills with some of natures most elusive opponents. There’s always something to learn while hunting. Just when you think you’ve got it all figured out, that mature buck or tom does something totally humbling and you just have to grin and bear it.
